Scole CEVC is a small, village primary school for children from 5 to 11 years old. We feel that it is important for our children to develop a strong sense of belonging and of community spirit. Liaison with other establishments in the village is essential for a school to thrive and we are constantly looking for new ways to involve ourselves with the local community. Scole is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School. As such we enjoy strong links with the Christian community of the Parish of Scole and Diocese of Norwich.

Of particular importance to us is the liaison that takes place with Scole Preschool, the Diss Contributory Schools Association and Diss High School to ensure continuity and progression of educational experiences for your child.
We try at all times to maintain a positive attitude and ethos in school with regular opportunities to reward good examples of behaviour, effort, attainment and attendance. However, there may also be occasions when it is necessary to remind children of our expectations of them. These expectations are drawn up at the beginning of the year in consultation between the children and their teacher. These are then displayed in the classroom and are referred to as necessary. If children are unable to keep to our expectations then they will have sanctions imposed or privileges withdrawn.

We believe that children learn best when they feel happy and secure, when their efforts are valued, and when parents and the school work in a close partnership to ensure continuity of support and values. We look forward to working with you, for the benefit of your child, in the years ahead.
